Big Discounts in Cabo San Lucas at the Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort and Spa

This winter, Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa is attracting travelers to the Cabo warmth with a special ”Fly Me to the Sun” promotion.  Included is an instant $400 credit which will be applied to the total bill upon check out.  It can be used toward the cost of food and beverage, spa treatments, incidentals and other hotel services, or it can simply be credited to the total cost of the bill, virtually reimbursing guests the cost of an airline ticket.

In addition to the $400 discount credit, Casa Dorada’s guests are always treated to a 25% savings at the Cabo Real 18-hole Golf Course, one of the premier courses in Los Cabos known as the “Pebble Beach of Mexico”; complimentary children’s activities at the resort’s CasaKidz Playzone, open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily; more than 20% savings at the new Wild Canyon Ekopark; free internet; and access to the fitness center and sauna and steam rooms.

The “Fly Me to the Sun” promotion is available for guests staying a minimum of four nights in a one- or two-bedroom suite and must be booked by March 30, 2009, for travel between January 4 and April 4, 2009.  Nightly room rates start at $438 for a one-bedroom suite with Jacuzzi, and $707 for spacious two-bedroom suites which are perfect for families.

Wine Cruises Are Giving $1000 In Discounts

Food & Wine Trails, the nation’s largest provider of winery-hosted cruises, has announced discounts and cruise credits of up to $1000 per person for their 2009 series.

F&WT is owned by Larry Martin, chosen this year by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as the World’s Top Wine-Tour Travel Specialist. “Wine comes in all prices,” says Martin, “but wine-travel has traditionally only been expensive. Our programs offer an alternative, taking enthusiasts to some of the world’s best wine regions at reasonable prices. However, because peoples’ travel budgets have become even more limited, we’ve now either dropped our prices or are offering onboard cruise credits.”

All programs are on the smaller cruise lines of Oceania, Windstar, Silversea, and Regent. Each departure includes the normal trappings of a deluxe cruise, such as gourmet meals, deluxe accommodations, and nightly entertainment. But unique to Food & Wine Trails, they also include private tastings, seminars and winemaker dinners, as well as optional tours and lunches at top wine estates.

Details about all of the discounted cabin fares and cruise credits on Food & Wine Trails’ 2009 wine-cruises can be found on their website:  http://www.foodandwinetrails.com/cruises
