Wine Cruises Are Giving $1000 In Discounts
Food & Wine Trails, the nation’s largest provider of winery-hosted cruises, has announced discounts and cruise credits of up to $1000 per person for their 2009 series.
F&WT is owned by Larry Martin, chosen this year by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as the World’s Top Wine-Tour Travel Specialist. “Wine comes in all prices,” says Martin, “but wine-travel has traditionally only been expensive. Our programs offer an alternative, taking enthusiasts to some of the world’s best wine regions at reasonable prices. However, because peoples’ travel budgets have become even more limited, we’ve now either dropped our prices or are offering onboard cruise credits.”
All programs are on the smaller cruise lines of Oceania, Windstar, Silversea, and Regent. Each departure includes the normal trappings of a deluxe cruise, such as gourmet meals, deluxe accommodations, and nightly entertainment. But unique to Food & Wine Trails, they also include private tastings, seminars and winemaker dinners, as well as optional tours and lunches at top wine estates.
