Lithium Batteries Are Not Allowed in Checked Baggage

If you take spare batteries for your cell phone or laptop or camera with you while traveling, and you travel by plane, this is important for you to know.

The bad news is that you may NOT pack any spare lithium batteries in your checked baggage, although you can pack an electronic device with the batteries installed in it.  This rule is in place to reduce the risk of lithium battery fires.
