When you are visiting a major U.S. or international metropolitan area, you have several choices on how to see the sights. I’ll save the best for last.
Walk or Bike? If you are physically fit, and have the time, touring the city on foot is certainly a thrifty and interesting way to go; or you could rent a bicycle.
Car or Motorcycle? You can rent a car or motorcycle, if you’re brave and have taken the time to thoroughly understand the layout of the city and the rules for driving there . . . some of which vary dramatically worldwide.
Limo or Taxi? You can rent a chauffeured limo or have a taxi driver take you from place to place; but not only is that expensive, you are totally insulated from your surroundings and therefore don’t have the opportunity to meet the locals or get a feel for the area.
