See the Mona Lisa for FREE!

You can see the Mona Lisa for free if you plan ahead. You will find her at the Louvre museum, one of the most popular museums in Paris.

While general admission is about $12 (€9) for a full day pass and about $8 (€6) from 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., admission is free all day on the first Sunday of each month and on July 14, which is Bastille Day (similar to Independence Day in the U.S.). But go EARLY; as lines can be very long on free days!

Kids under the age of 18 can visit for free, as can disabled visitors and their guests or helpers. If you can prove that you are a teacher of art, art history, or the applied arts, enjoy free admission.

Admission is free on Friday evening, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., if you are 18-25, with reduced admission for everyone else. If you are under 26 and an art student, ask for your free Art Student Pass.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Tuesday and the following holidays: January 1st, May 1st, November 11, and December 25.
