The ThriftyTraveling.com newsletter has returned after an unavoidable hiatus and is once again filled with travel news, resources, deals, strategies, and insider secrets to help you stretch your travel dollar.   In addition, our blog, ThriftyTravelBlog.com, focuses on money-stretching strategies and encourages comments from visitors.

In these economically-challenging times, editor Mary VanMeer believes that everyone still wants to travel, and should.  That is why ThriftyTraveling.com is devoted to teaching you how to travel in a safe, stress-free, and thrifty way.  The slogan of the blog is “Pay Little, Travel BIG.”  The slogan of the main website and newsletter is “ThriftyTraveling.com supplies you with the best travel bargain of all: KNOWLEDGE.”  That sums up her philosophy.

The 12-page bimonthly ThriftyTraveling.com newsletter has both an online and a mailed edition.  It has something for everyone in each issue, including a special section for over-50 thrifty travelers.   Other sections focus on solo travel, traveling with children, cruise news, hotel and airfare deals, Internet news, wonderful adventures, and tips on how to save money.  It’s only $29.95 per year (plus $6 for postage if you want the mailed edition).
