Bargaining 101: Lesson One

In most parts of the world, including the U.S. and Canada, bargaining is quite common.  It’s just a question of knowing what to say and how to say it.  Try the hints and techniques below as often as possible.  What have you got to lose?!  Bargaining is a game; it’s fun; and it’s actually often EXPECTED.

Sometimes called “haggling” or “bartering” or “negotiating,” be sure to adopt this thrifty yet honest frame of mind when looking for the best ways to stretch your travel dollar. 

Just as sellers of goods and services are in business to make money, it is your RIGHT as a consumer and a thrifty traveler to get the most mileage from your hard-earned dollars.  So do just that.  Bargain for the best deals on everything from merchandise to lodging and more!
